Nokia 6600 Best of an older generation

I have had this phone for the past three years and feel that I have tested it to its limits. I personally like bulky phones, but looking at companies such as Samsung with their ever-so-easy to snap phones i'm guessing im in the minority there. I decided that I liked the Nokia 6600 because it seemed to have all the features you could ever want as well as having a large 176x208px display.
When I first used this phone, it was my first phone beyond an old Nokia 6210, therefore it was a totally new experience for me. Upon picking up the phone I liked how it was comfortable to use, it is easy to balance the phone with your fingers which I consider an important aspect of a phone, the phone is easy to quickly flick out of a pocket and answer a call without holding it awkwardly like some of the more modern designs of phones seem to require. The phone unfortunately is difficult to fit into some pockets, my coat had an inside phone pocket but unfortunately the 6600 is just a little too big for it, therefore not always convenient to carry.
The phone feels strong, it is thick and after having dropped mine many times, I have never experienced any functional damage, only the obvious scratches were to be frowned at.

the Nokia 2720

I bought the Nokia 2720 Fold for my mother earlier this year. Having set up the phone and doing the inevitable demonstration and lessons, i found that the phone be more for its price rather than its features. However, for someone that wants a phone to be well more like a phone it is an excellent buy. Mum found it easy to use and once she'd actually played with it for a day or so found it not any different to her previous Nokia.
It comes with a basic 1.3 Megapixel camera, bluetooth, and fm radio.
The buttons were the biggest plus to this handset, with them actually being of a reasonable size unlike many other models available on the market. My mum is in her 50's, wears glasses and has multiple sclerosis and she still found them ok. A big plus in my opinion.

Solid but lacks anything special N900

Since receiving my nokia n900 through the door 9 months ago i have had the pleasure of using a phone that has the basic functions every normal phone should have but with the added use of a handset that is a scaled down internet tablet. From my own experiences the internet has been very quick when looking on flash sites as well as downloading files. The original reason i brought this phone was so i could have a touchscreen phone but with a keyboard for backup when writing long emails and texts for work. I have found the keyboard to be very easy to use and although at first it seemed small, after a few days, was plenty big enough. The touch screen is fairly responsive however i would however i would recommend having some type of plastic screen over the top,as once it gets dirty it can become very slow.

The classic 6303 classic

I've had the '6303 Classic' for about a year now and I have really enjoyed having it as my phone. Previously I was using a 'Blackberry Curve' which I liked a lot but unfortunately I broke it so had to move over to using the phone I originally got with my contract. I have also used the 'iPhone 3GS' but did not get on with it.
Nokia are renowned for making decent, durable and easy to use phones and the 6303 is no exception. As I said in my iPhone review the most important things to me from a mobile are calls and texts and the signal that I receive is always better than my friends and families (apart from my wife who also uses a Nokia).
The 6303 is quite light but not ridiculously so, my wife's phone is very light which she likes but when I have a phone in my pocket I like to be able to feel that it is there. I don't really use my phone for music or video so I find a 1GB memory card to be acceptable however if you did want to use this as your MP3 player the sound quality is good enough.

E71, how did I ever live without this?!

I remember getting my first phone: going into the shop and choosing a little item I liked based purely on design. Okay so I say little, but we're talking around 2001/2002. Phones back then were like bricks! The one I went for then was a deep blue colour with a glittery surface, and a tiny black areal sticking out the top. I remember it was on Orange network too, but to me it could have been on anything - it was still my first mobile phone, and very special to me. Since then I have been through many phones, from the Nokia 3310 (those were the days!), to the phone I got just two months back - the BlackBerry Pearl 8110. They have all been on Pay as you Go, as I have never been allowed on Contract. However this month I was told that I could finally get a Pay Monthly phone! Well as you can imagine, I was ecstatic at this and immediately began browsing phones.

Nokia N97 - 'The new iPhone

Being the previous owner of a Sony Ericsson w850 for over 2 years, I decided that it was time for a mobile phone upgrade. I had a few different phones in mind, the Apple iPhone, Nokia N97, Nokia 5800 Xpress Music and the HTC Touch Pro, in the end I chose to buy the new Nokia N-Series phone. It was a clear choice over the iPhone because of the price, also you do not have to buy the phone AND pay a monthly contract fee with the N97.

Buying The Phone

After choosing the phone I decided that I wanted to switch to contract instead of pay as you go. At the time the phone was only available on the Vodafone and Orange networks, but I believe that you can get it on most major networks now. I had previously been with Orange and wasn't too impressed with their service, so I chose Vodafone, they also had better deals for the N97.

nokia x6 mobile phone

my partner got me this phone on a contract with virgin . i was a bit unsure of the touch screen version phones at first as im used to normal keypad phones but thought it was time for a change..and my old erricson keypad wouldnt work most of the time..
i really like the design and have downloaded many applications and music.it comes with a years free music subscription.really pleased with the camera as
this phone takes really good photos.i am a little dissapointed with the battery life as when ive been playing music the battery wears right down and needs recharging..usually i can get 2 days without charging if not using the music player.
the signal can be poor at times im not sure if its the phone or just where i am at the time.but then i do have a lot of trees around my street so that may be the cause of the poor signal.
i find that the back cover sometimes comes loose and feel it is a little flimsy...
came with 9 mp3 songs i have deleted some of these.some of the songs are quite good.i have put a couple of videos on the phone ..video playing isnt bad ..
cusomise your own themes i have at the moment put on a pink hello kitty .there are so many themes and apps and games you can download for this phone..
charging point is on top of the phone along with the usb port..volume control is on the right side as is the keypad lock and the camera switch
